The Great Meeting

I am currently embroiled in the collection of Lesser Meetings that lead up to the Great Meeting of Next Week -- not to be confused with the Great Meeting of Last Week, in which K developed a raging headache that lasted for two days.

There are Impromptu Hallway Meetings, and Meetings at the Microscope, and Telephone Meetings to Discuss Previous and Upcoming Meetings. My favorite are the Meetings To Review What Was Just Said In Another Meeting, in which everyone comments on anything but the agenda. There are Meetings Which Have Very Little To Do With Me and Meetings Which Should Be Helpful But Aren't. Group Meetings on Overall Trends and Small Meetings for Complaining About the Proliferation of Meetings. Then there are the Email Threads Which Should Have Been Meetings (But Someone Couldn't Attend So We'll Talk About It In Type).

Irritatingly enough, I just got out of a Meeting To Decide Who Shall Attend The Great Meeting.
