Four more days

In four more days, we'll be at the end of another month, done with another big revenue recognition push, back to focusing on the service issues that make up most of our days. In four more days, we'll be staring down "Vacation Month", when our European counterparts evaporate into three-week out of office messages and unreturned voice mail. Four more days.

Meanwhile, M and I are trying not to snip at each other too much. We're both excited and nervous that he's going back to school. Neither of us is quite sure how we're going to make ends meet, only that we should be able to. The wedding is getting nearer and nearer, and it puts pressure on us in weird ways.

It's hot in the house most days now. My computer complains, then outright rebels. When evening comes and the breeze rushes through our living room, we congratulate ourselves on our awesome back door and drink a lot of ice water. Things pile up on the kitchen table, then recede. The new couch is due sometime this weekend, but the living room is chaos. The yard is overgrown and it's all dying back.

It's summer. And I am so ready for Fall.

Yes. Fall. Don't mean to rush or anything, but summer- blech. And we are approaching the worst part. So we must start thinking Autumnal thoughts right now. Can you say "Wine grapes" "Grape stomp" and "Harvest Party"? Well, even that is a few weeks away, but closer than Fall. I am thinking cold nights, shorter days, clear skies, no tourists.
Well, we can wish can't we.

The heat is the perfect time for flamethrowering those weeds. At the same time, did I mentioned I aquired a 75lbs jackhammer for those stubborn ones?

Did you every demolish the black widows club house in the back?

Still no flame-thrower-ing. I'll let you know when that changes. Probably when I'm less concerned it may burn our entire neighborhood (and yours) down. ;)
