I'd rather be...

Seeing the sunrise is nice, but I'd rather be sleeping. This is the fourth (fifth?) Tuesday in a row that I've headed to the airport before six to catch a flight to the Bay Area... and I still haven't had a chance to see any of our Bay Area friends. I wasn't supposed to be traveling this week, but our open issues list in San Diego didn't warrant keeping me close to home with the Sr. Engineer out of the Bay Area for the week.

Lucky me... My schedule is rocking one HW configuration I've never seen before, one touchy political customer, one install that isn't fully characterized, and one re-install that's pending bench space.

It's hard leaving M at home to venture out into the wild blue yonder. I don't mind the travel... actually, I enjoy flying around on airplanes and getting a change of scenery, even if it means occasionally greeting the sun rising over the tarmac. I don't enjoy the loneliness of knowing there's someone I'd rather be with than an empty hotel room.

Oh... and I may soon be fielding tech support questions on an iPhone app. With my undying <3 of all things Apple, that should be fun. :P
