By the Bay...

M's plans to hang out with friends last night fell through when our friends succumbed to the illness circulating their office. That left him in So. SF and me in Emeryville, separated by the Bay Bridge and some seriously ugly traffic. Against all logic--and probably largely because I had a particularly craptastic day--M drove over the bridge to find my hotel and have dinner with me. He couldn't stay, so it was just a dinner date, but it was really sweet of him and went a long way toward rescuing my Tuesday.

Now I'm heading back into the fray, and trying to think of something nice to do for him when he comes home Thursday. Assuming, of course, that I'm in San Diego on Thursday night, which is always a gamble.
