End of the Month

I can't believe it's already the last working day in February. I have a remarkable amount of paperwork that needs to be done by yesterday and I'm sifting through it without any real commitment. It's Friday afternoon, sunny and warm outside, the trees are blooming and I haven't been home since Monday.

Today's also the last day of the International Co-op Nursery School at UCSD. My brother and I both attended and my Mom was President for awhile. I have solid childhood memories of the playground before and after remodel, some of the games, show and tell, and snack time. As a University student, I sometimes took my lunch over to the Int'l Center and sat on the green and reminisced. ICNS has fallen out of favor due to University growth, change, and development. Sadly, students will no longer hear toddlers' laughter as they trek up an down Library Walk.

The Apricot and Plum are leafing out in the backyard, and there's a carpet of grasses and weeds peeking up between our pile of pruned branches. This is the first weekend in awhile that M and I will be able to ponder free time, yard work, and a few wedding-related tasks without an over-full schedule.
