My project lead tells me that there's a reason the Chinese Olympic games are opening today, and that it has to do with fortune and good luck. I'm inclined to believe their superstitions, given that today's experimental results are the first bit of good news I've gotten on my project in over two weeks.

I'm not saying things are fixed, back on track, or even close to finished, but I am saying that things are looking up this Friday mid-day in unexpected and much appreciated ways.
