Green Tea Ice Cream

1.5 cups milk
3 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons loose leaf jasmine green tea

Warm milk until it just begins to simmer, then remove from heat (or microwave) and add loose leaf tea. Cover with saran wrap and allow to steep for ~1 hr. Strain out tea leaves and place tea-milk in the fridge to chill.

Combine tea-milk and sugar, mix until sugar has melted (1-2 minutes). Add cream and mix just until blended. Pour mixture into ice cream making apparatus of your choice. Freeze overnight if you prefer a harder consistency, or serve immediately after processing if you prefer soft-serve consistency.

I could have used that on Sunday- it was so hot at the market. But it sounds wonderful and I am going to try it after I have lost another 10 pounds. I just can't do it right now, bummer.
Love you.
