And now we wait...

I asked my manager last September about taking time off for my wedding this coming November. He sounded doubtful that I'd get all three weeks approved, and told me to talk to HR. HR was more than happy to approve it, but I didn't have the days saved (yet) to put it in the leave management system.

Now I do. I saved HR's email, just in case, because my manager is that sort of guy. Now I plan on raising holy hell if he says "No" for any reason whatsoever. He knows it's coming. His boss knows it's coming. HR knows it's coming. And I'm still technically putting the request in 6 months in advance.

It'd be nice if I didn't expect to have issues with my boss, but he's got a crappy track record at approving vacation. And I am completely prepared to fight with him over this one.
